Aurora Borealis Sky
Acrylic on Canvas
Professionally Framed in Black.
This painting was part of a experiment with Indian inks on canvas. Most people have at some point been fascinated with the nights sky. Personally often when looking into the night sky, it has left me feeling insignificant with its infinite size. Then, I came across a quote - 'It's breathtaking to consider you have two eyes, each composed of 130 million photo receptor cells. In each one of those cells, there are 100 trillion atoms - more than all the stars in the Milky Way. However, each atom in each cell in each eye formed in the core of a star, billions of years ago, and yet all to expand the consciousness that is you. The universe has an interesting sense of irony, in that you are the universe and the universe experiencing itself - all you are is a thought.' Since then I have felt connected and find joy in starring up into the vast soup of stars above.
This painting has been professionally framed personally by the artist, with wire fixings on rear for hanging.
